Normally leave the bull in with the cows till just before they start to calve then pull him out till it's time to put him back in, last year was a little busy when the first cow calved, didn't get him out till that first calf was right at two weeks old, figured I'd be fine. Not! I bet I get him out this year.

I've had a couple like that but they were planned. Early on it was my way of checking if the lines I was keeping had the fertility I wanted, I would throw 2 year olds that had just calved back in with the bull to see how fast they would breed back, didn't look to good on the performance records but I didn't care.
